Pennies 4 Pads

World’s Largest Donor of Sanitary Pads

With its headquarters based in Texas in the United States, Pennies 4 Pads tackles period poverty in rural India. By providing safe and dignified access to feminine hygiene products, they ensure girls remain in schools and reduce dropout rates.

Every year, around 50,000 girls are Period Protected in rural India by Pennies 4 Pads. That includes 10,000 blind, deaf and autistic girls.

My Tree Story: The Date Palm & its Significance to Bedouin Heritage

Memory Palace of Tree Stories is a socio-ecological art practice by Irish artist Niamh Cunningham. Supported by the Local Ireland Government and Carlow County Council, it is a creative-led social enquiry of how we can live well for both personal and collective wellbeing. Part of the International Pan Celtic Festival in 2023, this initiative features over 40 tree stories involving video engaging conversations about trees from individual storytellers, conservationists, educators and creators from Asia and around the world.
